I struggled with unspecific symptoms for 4 years, such as tiredness, mild hair loss, and acne. My family doctor in Canada would ask for bits and pieces of blood work, and there was never an issue in my results of the tests he requested. I eventually stopped getting my menstrual periods. It turns out I was in perimenopause. Dr. Cecilio did a hormone replacement therapy with intradermal implants, and less than 6 months later I was back to having normal levels of hormones and having menses again. A 1.5-hour appointment with her cost about 85 CAD. I am not sure she speaks fluent English, but she is highly trained in the field.
